The focus of occupational therapy is to assess one's underlying skills and readiness to explore and interact with their environment. The goals of OT may include:
  • Improving behavior state control to facilitate age appropriate attention, sleep and calming patterns.
  • Improving use of sensory input.
  • Improving UE ROM, coordination, strength, endurance and fine motor skills.
  • Facilitate age approprate activities of daily living in dressing, hygiene and feeding.
